The Film Racing task has come to an end. (see the post below for details)
Now all we have to do is wait 2-4 weeks to find out if we won. But in the meantime, enjoy the film.
Saturday's Screening Sidenote:
I (WILL) told Alan that I wanted to answer any questions people had for the Q&A. I immediatly regretted that descision when I had to go onstage with aa representative from the film and tell anecdotes. I think I showed well. Gave Alan mad-props and made a few funnies.
The 2 direct from the audience questions we got (and most people didnt get any questions asked) were "Whose Goth was it?" and "Where did you get the shirts?".
The shirts one I answered easily but the first question threw me for a loop ..."whose goth was it?" (verbatim). Huh. So I answered as best I could.
"I like to believe that she was everyones goth."

Last week, BECCA, WILL and the COLLARSUP crew took part in The NYC Film Race 2008.
What's film racing you say?
Well, the film racing site will tell you here.
The Film Racing mission statement reads:
"Film Racing is dedicated to inspiring and challenging creative minds. We strive to develop exciting and intriguing competitions that will allow filmmakers to explore their artistic drive. And ultimately create unique, inventive films for all to see."
And to fulfill that mission statement they ask the film makers to create a short film in 24 hours.
Jeesh.
On friday night at 10PM we were emailed two suggestions for a short film that was to be submitted on DVD on Saturday night by 10PM. Submit at 10:01PM -- sorry, but you'd be too late and wouldn't qualify for the prizes.
The suggestions were "Happy Birthday" and you had to include the "action of hanging up a picture."
So Collarsup brainstormed, came up with an idea and shot it. We wrapped filming at about 6AM. The actors went home for a power nap and our director/editor, Alan Harris, went to his abode and started editing.
By 2PM the whole crew met up at Alan's place to keep him awake and give feedback. We edited, scored and fine tuned the film till 8PM. Then we exported it to DVD and Eric Hollerbach was off to the drop-off point with the film. We got it there around 9:15PM. GREAT SUCCESS!
We did it.
The film is called "WHERE GOTHS GO TO DIE"
