Becca and Will in new short.

Alan Harris is in charge of a great website called Collarsup.com. Alan loves to make cute, funny, awesome short films with his friends and post them on his site.

Last week, BECCA GREENE and WILL NUNZIATA of The We, had the great pleasure to write and act in an improvised short film.

Check it out here. It's called "Powerhouse" and a more apt title could not be truer.

OK, I'll embed it:

-----------------

Also see BECCA in this other improvised short here. It's all about dip...and telling secrets.

or below:

Love,

Will

Check it out here.

Congrats Kev!

...And now, Will's Youtube picks of the Week. Part 1

I am a fan of the youtube. Who isn't? I watch a lot of stupid video's and I enjoy sending them to my friends. In essence I'm the next generation of spammer. So in an effort to stop the spam, I'll begin the blog.

So here is Part One of this blogs newest feature [WITTY TITLE PENDING]. A/K/A Will's Youtube Picks of the Week.

--------------------------------------

There is a commercial that runs constantly during Mets games for a local cosmetic dentist business. It's simple, it's low budget and, my personal favorite part is that is horribly miscast.

In the second "Select Dental" confessional there is an obviously gay male singing the praises of "Select Dental" with his, get this, wife. The man is clearly gay, how are we to believe that he has a wife?! What else is this man lying to us about? Hmmm, perhaps he's fibbing about "Select Dental."

Well, long story short, this commercial fascinates me so I searched for it on youtube and sure enough there it was...only one catch...there's a mysterious extra confessional. Shocked and amused me to no end. I watch it several times a day.

Can you spot the extra confessional?

1.

Comedian Dave Hill, props to you.

------------------------------

Film maker and all around fantastic guy Mike Tully played this song for me on the way back from filming THE ROYAL WE's TVLand pilot. It was three minutes and forty-one seconds of heaven. Imagine my enjoyment when I found that there was a music video.

Ladies and Gentlemen, BOB THE BAND's "Yes for Sure." Yes. They are Austrian.

2.

And no one was left unmoved.

----------------------------------------

Because who doesn't love baby quadruplets laughing.

3.

-----------------------------------------

Being Mothers Day, who can forget the e-classic from comedy duo Barats and Bereta.

4.

-----------------------------------------

Last but not least, the last and least.

Did you know that different pitches of sound resonate in different geometrical shapes? Sound boring? Watch this demonstration with sand, and be, as a magician would say, "astonished!"

5.

----------------------

Yep, thats it.

Well, that's over with.

Bye,

Will

The Spotlight with Sean Taylor

On April 17th, 2007 yours truly, WILL "Hey, it's that guy!" NUNZIATA, sat down for a very intimate interview with future "Late Night" host Sean Taylor. Here's the dirt.

Sean Taylor and his team of hotshot, up and coming TV producers have a talk show called "The Spotlight with Sean Taylor!" On this talk show, which is filmed before a live studio audience at the lovely Gotham Improv comedy house in NYC, Sean Taylor interviews local comics who've been on the TV. No matter how small or how huge the part you played on TV, Sean Taylor and his fine-tuned Spotlight are there...and they have questions.

On April 17th Sean took on the topic of Sports and I, um, WILL NUNZIATA, had the honor of being interviewed by Sean.

What do sports and WILL NUNZIATA have in common? Can WILL even run a mile? Does his hand/eye coordination translate to anything beyond high scores on Ms. Pacman?

WILL, while not great at playing sports, can sure as hell make snarky comments about sports. In May 2006 WILL "FUN"ZIATA appeared on SNY's hit show "Mets Weekly" in an episode called "Mets Week Ever" in which, in the style of VH1's "Best Week Ever," WILL jabbered on about his favorite baseball team, the NY Mets.

You can watch the interview on thespotlightwithseantaylor.com, or you can sit back and enjoy the clips below (god bless youtube and the embed function)

PART 1:

PART 2:

After WILL "BUN"ZIATA's interview was over, he stuck around and quipped with Maddy Mako, the Spotlights second guest. Which can be seen below:

PART 3:

PART 4:

A good time was had by all, and if you're a podcastee, be sure to download the entire show which should be on Sean's site here.

Thanks go to Sean Taylor and everyone at the Spotlight. Hopefully I'll get on TV again and bask in the warm glow of Sean's fun show.

Good Night,

WILL NUNZIATA (who writes in the 3rd person)

My Dad is a Film Star

Wanna make a bet?

I bet that there has never been a short film made about your Dad. Raise your hand if this is true. Has there ever been a short film about your Dad and your Dad's job?

[the sound of tens of raised hands being lowered.]

That's what I thought! Unless your dad is Vince McMahon, then there has never been a short film the revolves around your awesome Dad.

Well, kids, I, WILL NUNZIATA, am now in the "Filmed Dad" minority.

My Pops, former ROYAL WE producer and current retiree, BUDDY NUNZIATA, was the subject of Stephen Bono's short film, aptly titled "Buddy Nunziata."

The IFC channel sums up the film like this:

Summary:
Buddy Nunziata, a true New Yorker , breaks up the mind-numbing monotony of the morning commute for the hundreds of New Yorkers who travel through Flushing, Queens every day. Unknowingly spreading good will, knowledge and acceptance, Buddy is a true New Yorker with old world hospitality and a 21st century globalization mindset.

Thanks to the glory of youtube embedding, you can see the short film below:

Breaking the mind-numbing monotony of the morning commute.

Upon seeing the film, the ROYAL WE's own MATT JOHNSON summed it up nicely with this terse critique:

"More Buddy, Less Buses."

And the world couldn't agree more.

My Dad is awesome,

WILL NUNZIATA (proud son)

PS: Me and Pops ain't the only Youtube.com superstars! Click here to see my younger brother, Mike "Nunzi" Nunziata, benchpressing 475lbs and then some. He learned it by watching me.
