Kevin Scott: The Royal We's Background Brain

So WE write a lot about ourselves in this highly trafficed blog-a-do, and thats all well and good, but there is a major cog of the The Royal We that doesn't get as much recognition as he should.

That man-cog is none other than Kevin Scott.

Kevin Scott is the Obi-Wan Kenobi to the We's Anakin Skywalker. The Qui-Gon-Jin to our Obi-Wan. The Yoda to our Luke Skywalker. The Darth Sidious to our Darth Maul. The Count Dooku to our, um, was it General Grievious? Anyway, he is the master and We are but his apprentices.

Now, Kevin's bio reads:

Kevin was a founding member of Chicago's Bang Bang, inventors of Spontaneous Theater, and the now legendary Burn Manhattan. He now improvises with Centralia in New York City. Kevin began directing 15 years ago at Sesame Place, a theme park in Pennsylvania. He has directed Pod at Gotham City Improv, Blind Spot and Minimum Wage, winner of the Fringe Award at the 2002 New York International Fringe Festival. He is also the director of the comedy duo Project: Projekt and has worked with various comedy groups, including The Hester Prynns, Living Room Live and High Fife. He has also coached several Harold teams at the UCB Theater, including Deep Space Nine. He is also a playwright and the director of numerous films. He has been teaching improvisation for more than a decade, most notably for the world famous Second City where he was the first director of the New York Revue Showcase.

or see his Bio at his personal website for a more detailed look at this curly-haired genius.

But those words in italics only capture a mere pigeon dropping of what Master Jedi Kevin Scott is all about.

Do yourself a favor and go visit his website KevinScottsWebsite.com and check out all the fun treats for yourself.

May the force be with you,

Will (the Mace Windu to Kevin Scott's Marcellus Wallace)
